So as mentioned above, this update will contain all of Week 12.
How this final week plays out will largely depend on whether you were able to help the Mayor win the local election or not.
It might also be the difference between the Lighthouse Hotel being rated as a five-star hotel, which was one of your many objectives to achieve when you start playing the game.
However, it’s not all doom and gloom.
You can still get a number of the game endings even if you don’t manage to help the mayor win the election.
If you download the latest walkthrough, on the last page it will tell you what you need to do to get all the different endings that we have created.
If you have played until the end of the last update, you, the main character, have shown every intention to return home.
But what if you want to stay? Or perhaps you’re considering going with one of the girls that are leaving town?
Or maybe returning home to your loving girlfriend, Nicole, has always been the only choice?
This final week of the story will be quite heartfelt, but if you did everything right during the last update, the hotel is now safe from being taken over by Anthony D’Amico, then there is also cause for celebration for you, your Sis and the hotel staff.
And there may even be some late inclusions to the staff roster who will become permanent full-time workers before and after you leave town.

As mentioned in a previous post, this will be the final update for Chapter 2 of the game (due to the size of the game app).

The second half of Week 11, all of Week 12 and all the game endings will be included in Chapter 3, which will be the final part of Sunshine Love.

We are looking to have the game completed by the end of the year!

Due to Week 11 being split because of the game size being stretched, this is a shortened update, but it’s certainly not short on content or important scenes on the various paths.

We’ve spent around four weeks working on this update compared to the normal six weeks that we regularly dedicate to each release.

So you’re getting this update a bit sooner than usual ;)

As always we appreciate anyone who has emailed or posted errors/bugs that they’ve found on either of my pages or the fan discord.

About this update

So as mentioned above, this week of the game (Week 11) will be split across two updates.

If you’ve been following the story up to the end of the last update, you will know that this is the week where our two lead characters and everyone in town will find out who will be the town mayor for the next few years.

Your job is to do everything you can to stop Anthony “The Boss” D’Amico from winning that election.

If you fail with this task, then it could have huge ramifications for the future of Sis’ lighthouse hotel.

While the townspeople are weighing up who to vote for, you also have some big decisions to make.

Mainly, regarding your love life and where you want to be after the summer ends.

And if you are on multiple relationship paths, this might be your last chance to stick or flick with one or more girls in order to get the ending you want (and maybe even deserve).

If you have the Game Walkthrough, then this will be a huge help, especially for these final few updates.

And don’t forget to keep picking up love points for your favourite character(s), as your final tally will be vitally important by the end of Week 12.

Your Sis, Ashley, Cousin and Vicky are the main girls to feature in this update.

If you’re seeing two or more of them at the same time, then you definitely have some big decisions to make.

You’ll have a night out for dinner and drinks with Sis and Vicky, see what Cousin is up to in reception, and receive a visit (or two) from the very MILFY Ashley.

How much longer can you keep this up (if you have multiple relationships going) before the girls discover your secret?

How will they react?

And for those of you on the Open Relationship path with your girlfriend Nicole, are you definitely sure you want to continue seeing her before you return home, or have you fallen head over heels for one particular girl in Sunshine Bay that you might have a (better) future with?

Plenty of decisions to be made for you, the player, in this new update of Sunshine Love…

Week 10 Plot Hole Fix

During the night when Sis goes out clubbing with Vicky, only on the Sis+Vicky path is it mentioned that they should have a night out with the MC the following week (which happens in this new update).

We have added dialogue where it mentions having a night out with both girls if you are on the:

- Sis only path

- the Vicky only path, and/or

- the path if you are not seeing either girl

Saving Your Progress

When you get to the end of this update, you will see a screen similar to the one at the end Chapter 1, where it will show all the girls you are currently seeing (they will be in colour), and how many points you have accrued for each.

IMPORTANT: When you choose “Save Your Progress”, it will ask you to name your save file.

When the very next update is released, you will be able to load this save in the Chapter 3 game app.

When that new game app is available, all you will need to do is choose “New Game” from the Main Menu, and then “Load” which save you want to continue the game from.

So here it is, the fifth update from SUNSHINE LOVE - CHAPTER 2 - V.1.00! It is now available for you to download and play.

We really appreciate every single one of you for supporting us throughout the production of our three games to date.

There were a couple of major scenes in the last update that required significant edits, namely the scene with the Twins and also the scenes for the Vicky + Sis path.
We understand that Version 6 wasn’t to everyone’s liking, and the high standards that we set ourselves may not have been met.
My chief writer, HearszAM, wasn’t happy with how the Twins and Victoria were portrayed and as a team we have spent this week trying to rectify that.
It’s been a tough couple of weeks for all of us with trying to continue with our six-week schedule, where we have a new update for you all, because that’s what we believe you as paying supporters deserve.
However, working on a continually strict schedule can sometimes bring about problems that may not be obvious until after an update is put out, or until a fan points them out to us ;)
We’re not perfect, but even after six and a half years of creating these visual novels, we’re still striving to be.
Each day that we work on our games is always a learning process, and mistakes or errors in judgment are always going to happen.
The most fortunate thing about creating visual novels is that we can change or fix things we or you are not happy with, at any given time.
Something we are also looking to do is create as many individual endings for the girls as possible.
It’s only when you get this far into making a game that you realise how loved some characters are, and which ones are not so much.
Not every girl will have their own ending, but we’ll include as many as possible, especially if it makes sense to do so.
And lastly, we’d like to thank everyone who gave us some invaluable feedback on the last update, especially those on the Discord fan server.
We’re only a small team and we can do with all the help we can get!

Main changes that we have made
As mentioned above, we have made some script changes to the Twins scene and also the Vicky and Sis scene.
With regards to the twins’ scene, we’re well aware that the direction we took for Ivy and Lily was not to everyone’s liking, but at the same time, we didn’t want every character to be angels or to have similar interests or backstories.
However, we’re now aware why some were upset and fans rightfully pointed out that the twins lacked likeable qualities that most of the other love interests in the story contained.
So with that in mind, we have made significant changes to their backstory, how they came into their “special line of work”, and during the next update (Week 11), you will discover that Ivy and Lily do have some redeemable qualities after all.
Just like real humans, not all of our characters can be 100% perfect, and sometimes showing their imperfections can be just as important as displaying all the characteristics and assets that make us like or even fall in love with them.
For the Vicky and Sis scene, HearszAM, who wrote that scene was angry at himself for portraying Victoria (his favourite character) in such a bad light.
That was never his intention, and like the adjustments made to the twin’s scenes, he has made some great edits to the scenes with Sis that better represents why Vicky was such an engaging character from the very first update of the game.
We have also added an option (during the scene back at Vicky’s home) where Sis can reject her advances, and that will lead to some redemption for Victoria which will also be seen during Week 11 (for this choice).

Changes to the Game Walkthrough
As mentioned above, we have added an option where you can “Accept” or “Reject” Victoria’s advances when she is sitting on her sofa with Sis in her home.
Choosing to “Reject” her advances will eventually close the Vicky path, but not until later in Week 11.
If you “Accept” her advances, the “Girl on Girl” scene will still happen, and there will also be another special scene which will also take place during Week 11.
Originally, if you were on both girls’ paths you would get +10 points for each.
However, that was incorrect. You are meant to lose -10 Sis points instead of gaining +10 points.
That has been fixed now.
Thanks to “The Hunter” for letting us know about that error and a couple of other ones. :)

Could you handle being separated from her a second time?
What about if you’re on both the Sis and the Vicky paths?
Are you concerned about how the girls will react if they find out you’ve been dating both of them?
And if you’ve seen one of our recent previews, surely you’d be concerned that one of them will let slip your secret during their girl’s night out, right?

Will she dish all the dirt about the hotel to her father, or does she have something else in mind when she returns home?
In this next part of the story, you’ll learn more about the hotel, the history of the town, details about D’Amico’s past and also some of his plans for the near future.
All of this information will be crucial as soon as you enter the final two weeks of the story, and could determine your future, what will happen with the hotel, and your relationship with Sis?

Tips for this update (*SPOILER ALERT)
For the Twin’s scene midway through the first day of this new update, you will meet at their office in town.
To view the special scene with them, you’re going to need to have the “Threesome” path set to “Yes”.
Otherwise, if you are only seeing one of the twins (Threesome path set to “No”), then your relationship with Ivy or Lily will automatically end here.
We’ve done things this way to make the various endings to the game easier to manage, especially the ones that will involve The Twins.
Similarly, with the Sis plus Vicky scene, you must be dating both of them to view the special scene in this update.
There is a special scene featuring Himari, Mr Roshi’s personal nurse.
To be able to view it, you must have the Yuki path set to “No”, and also set Himari to “True”.
This will also be Himari’s final involvement in the story.
There are also five sex scenes during this update that you can unlock and watch again in the “Scenes” (Replay Gallery).

- Deleted out some repetitive lines (e.g. overuse of the MC reminding everyone that he’s leaving at the end of the summer!)

- Previously, the Nicole video call was coming up for some players on the Single path (if you had broken up with her) when it shouldn’t have.

That has been corrected now so if you are on the Single path then you don’t view that scene.

We’re pretty confident that they’ve all been fixed now, but if they haven’t, then please let us know and we’ll get to fixing those along with any more errors that you find in v1.0.

Changes to this update

As mentioned during our preview posts throughout this month, we have been keeping track of all the errors, plot holes, and rendering issues

that you guys have let us know about, as well as any adjustments that we’ve been required to make from the very start of the game up until the final scene for Chapter 1.

After each update is released, we often don’t have the time to fix every single error that we are told about.

Since we work on both VN’s on a 5-6 week cycle, if we spent time fixing up every issue after each release, then fewer updates would be put out because everything would be pushed back (if that makes sense).

So that’s the main reason why we do these revision updates at the end of each year - we have a lot more time to do these fixes, and we also have the time to add in some more content to further improve the quality of various scenes that we feel could do with extra special attention.

Some developers prefer to spend 2-3 months on their updates so that they can work on the finer details for their scenes, which is great, but ever since we started making VN’s, we’d much prefer to try and give you more updates more frequently, and then come back to make our edits, changes and improvements at the end of each year.

Anyway, here is our (long) list of the things we have changed, fixed, or added in during our revision month:

Changes made to the Intro, Game Menu, Music Player and FX (plus other things)

- We have added an option where you can skip the flashback scenes at the start of the game.

If you do that, the game will begin when the MC is in court (Present Day)

- Removed two tracks from the music playlist: “Stop Loving You” and “Afterparty Review”. Both had vocals in them which kind of killed the immersion (fan suggestion)

- Improved the quality of the kissing sound effects

- Several grammar fixes

- Added some more tongue kisses with various characters (fan suggestion): - Ashley, Shortcake, Jazmin, Kristina, Childhood Friend, Ivy/Lily, Victoria

- All the sound effects and ambience are now optimized versions, meaning the quality is better than previous

- Added sound effects to most of the sex scenes that were previously missing (or silent)

We’ve added the “sex player” to three more scenes. You will now be able to change the sex position and speeds during:

- The sex scene with Jazmin during Week 3.

- The sex scene with Ivy or Lily in the motel room during Week 4.

- The sex scene with your Childhood Friend on the beach bed during Week 4

- We have also supplied four save files for the start of each week of the game.

You may have to change the names for four characters (including yourself) before you begin.

WEEK 1

- when you are sitting on the hill and having a picnic with your Childhood Friend, we have added an extra part to this scene where

we see a flashback of how the MC and Nicole first met, their first kiss, and the first time they slept together.

- when your Childhood Friend returns home to the hotel after being confronted by Lucas, she tells the MC about what happened the night before and why she didn't come home.

We see a flashback of her outside Vicky's place who returns from a night out. Friend sleeps in Vicky's bed and she has black underwear on.

But the Peeping Tom image the next day when she returns to the hotel has her wearing red underwear. That has been changed to black underwear now.

WEEK 2

- we have deleted out double dialogue when the MC chats with Childhood Friend in the health centre.

- added an “Open relationship” icon to the Nicole profile in the Characters Info section. If it is coloured, then you will be in an Open Relationship with her.

If it is not, then you are now single and are no longer dating Nicole. This icon becomes available during your video call with her.

WEEK 3

- extended the Jazmin/MC sex scene. There are now two options to choose from before you climax. ;)

- when you visit Ashley’s house and she shows you her burlesque outfit, we have added a couple of extra poses while she dances for the MC (fan suggestion).

- there were issues with the Heart icon not working correctly on the Twins path. That has been fixed now.

WEEK 4

- added a phone call scene between The Boss and Svetlana, where he asks her to pick up a special guest (Nicole) at the airport the following morning.

- during the hospital scene, if you are on the Yuki path, we have extended that scene so you have the chance to take her home and she invites you in.

- we’ve added more dialogue to the Trisha/MC office scene. She explains her reasoning for using blackmail and more about what she likes in her male interests (fan suggestion).

- during the evening sex scene with Ashley in her cabin, we’ve added a couple of extra renders when the MC is spooning Ashley in her bed.

- during the morning sex scene with Ashley, we’ve changed the angle and positioning of the blowjob she gives the MC.

We’ve also added a new angle of the sex scene that takes place.

- we have deleted out double dialogue when Victoria leaves after they have sex in the alleyway behind the restaurant.

- during the MC’s phone call with Nicole on the Open Relationship path, Nicole will ask you to tell her about one of your dates.

There will be five girls to choose from with different sets of dialogue for each.

If a girl you are dating is not among these five, then the MC will tell you about a girl he has been seeing, who is actually his Childhood Friend who he’s referring to.

- during the evening sex scene down by the beach, we’ve added a front view angle of your Childhood Friend when you choose the “On Top” option.

AT THE END OF THE CHAPTER

- added a recap screen at the end of the game. This screen will have your game stats such as:

*the girls you are dating/seeing - coloured if you are dating them, in black if you are not

*the points you have accrued for each.

*if you are in an Open Relationship with Nicole or if you are Single/Dating.

*all the important decisions that you have made in Chapter 1 that will be important in Chapter 2.

How to jump ON and OFF character paths

If you’re not aware already, we have added an option in the “Character Info” section for each character so that you are able to switch their paths ON and OFF.

That way it saves you from having to go back to the point in the game when each girls’ pathways begin, in case you are not already on their path.

To do this, all you need to do is:

- go into your tablet in the top-right corner of the screen

- select the “Char. Info” button

- under the “Characters Info” section, choose the character whose path you want to set to ON or OFF.

About this update
We’ve spent the past six weeks, writing, rendering, coding, creating walkthrough’s and adding in some bonus renders to make Version 7 of SL, which we’re confident in saying is, our BIGGEST update yet!
As it stands, six weeks to work on each update of SL seems to be the perfect amount of time for us to cover everything we need to for each version we put out.
Thanks to everyone for e-mailing or posting errors/bugs that they’ve found on either of my pages or on the fan discord. We’re pretty confident that they’ve all been fixed now. But if they haven’t, then please let us know and we’ll get to those along with any more errors that you find in v7.
One question we always get asked is just how many of the ten love interests will feature in each update.
That usually varies with each release depending on where we go with the story, but normally we aim to have four or five girls appear for each version that we put out.
The preview pics we post up each Sunday is usually an indicator as to who will feature, but that’s not always the case ;)
Another question we get asked quite a lot is “when will we be able to do more” with certain girls.
This will vary depending on the girl. Some of them will be up for anything almost straight away, others you’re just going to have to be patient for a little bit longer.
Because we have such a big cast we want all their personalities to differ from each other and just maybe, you might be able to relate to one (or even a few) of them as you play through the story.
Not all of the characters can/will feature in every update, so we try and give a fair balance to all of them because we know that every girl has their own group of fans.
In this update, there will be another major event that you and your childhood friend will start to prepare for. Again, it will greatly benefit the hotel and you will have to work together to be able to take advantage.
You will also be able to reach Level 2 in this update, therefore, a new set of tasks will become available for you to check through.
During this update, the tasks will appear in the “Tasks List” in the Hotel Menu individually as each character mentions.
Don’t worry, there will be an on-screen notification to let you know when each task gets added to this list.
Again you will have some big decisions to make in regards to who you date and who you have no interest in.
For those of you who have played up until the end of the previous update, we know that you’re eager to find out how you, the MC will get out of the situation that you find yourself in.
How will Connie react, now that she has seen you and your childhood friend together in her bedroom, late at night?
What will be the repercussions of Connie’s father cutting her off after you and your friend hosted her birthday party at the hotel?
You’ll get to visit new places in Sunshine Bay and also see the town from a different perspective. But which characters will you spend time with, in these new locations?
V7 will answer these and many other questions!
Changes to this update
With regards to the main walkthrough, we have added a list of all the main female characters at the bottom of the walkthrough pdf,
where you can find out exactly when and in which scene you can get onto each girls’ path.

If you are already on a girls’ path, then there will be scenes with them in future updates where you can back out or jump off.
NOTE: Not all combinations will be possible by end of the game, given what we can or cannot do due to Patreon rules.

There will also be an option in the future where you can just be friends with your “Friend”, however, much like what we did with Melody, we may not implement that option until after the story-part of the game is finished. We’ll see how that goes though.
You’ll also notice that we’ve added some extra special sound effects to a few of the sex scenes in this update.

Searching for Doughnuts!

For our $10+ tier members, you will return to looking for doughnuts in this new update. In the April release (v6), we had you all search for Easter Eggs instead.

When you locate the new doughnuts, it will unlock the next set of special renders.

Again, there will be plenty of new Peeping Tom images that you can view in V7 as well.

All up, there are 20 x new Doughnuts to locate, and 21 x Peeping Tom images.

We really appreciate every single one of you for supporting us throughout the production of our three games to date.

The team and I would love to be able to continue making these kinds of games for as long as possible and having you all supporting and encouraging us will make that dream possible.

Whenever we get to the last week of working on any of our updates, we always wish we had more time to add in more scenes, more animations, or give more screen time to certain characters.

But unfortunately, that’s not always possible, and once we’ve set a deadline, we always try our hardest to have the update released on time for you all.

It’s been a hell of a journey during this first year of creating Sunshine Love, and it’s been wonderful to read all the great comments and feedback from you all regarding the story, our lovely (mainly-female) cast, and the overall game play.
Much like when we released DMD and Melody, the reception to Sunshine Love has far exceeded our expectations. And we’re only just getting started!
We will certainly be striving to improve the quality in all departments next year and to keep you all entertained so you have even more to look forward to with each update that we put out.
With so many girls for the MC to potentially spend his day with, dividing time between them fairly with each release isn’t always going to be easy.
That’s encouraging to see and it’s exactly what we were hoping for when we created these characters. We wanted to give you as much variety as possible with our potential love interests in the game, and to not make any particular girl the main focus for you, the MC.

For those of you who have played up until the end of the previous update, you will know by now that a big wedding could potentially take place at your sister’s hotel.
However, you will have some set tasks to complete first before this can eventuate.
But fear not! You will have some help from the wonderful ladies that you have already met since you arrived in Sunshine Bay.
There will also be numerous opportunities for you to make an impression on these ladies (as well as scoring points with them) throughout this new update!
If you have the Walk-through, please make sure that you go through it carefully, to not only pick up as many points as possible for each girl that you’re interested in, but to also see what you have to do to view some scenes that you could potentially miss out on.
As mentioned above, not every girl will get a lot of screen time, but that will be hopefully balanced out within the next few updates.

NOTE: There’s a scene midway through the first day of the update where you can offer to help Cousin (aka… Shortcake) at the front desk in reception, on the day of the wedding.
This scene hasn’t been implemented yet, but it will feature in the next release (v5). So make sure to choose “Offer to help Cousin” if you want to see this scene in the future.

IMPORTANT!
As mentioned in our post about Version 3.1 a couple of weeks back, in our previous update of the game you were given two choices during your
last phone call with Nicole:
“Don’t agree” or “Accept her decision”.
We have removed the “Don’t agree” option (staying in a relationship with Nicole). The dialogue that features in this scene will be you, the player,
automatically agreeing to be in an “Open Relationship” with Nicole (for now).
However, early on in this new update (the one you’re about to download and play), you will be given two new options where you can either:
“Agree with her” or “Break up with her”
Here’s what each of these decisions will mean for your future intentions with the girls in Sunshine Bay:
“Agree with her”
This means you will continue to date Nicole, however, you are also free to date other women over the summer.
It will also mean that at some point in the game, Nicole will start to take an interest in the women you’ve been dating,
and she’ll want to hear all about it from you!
For those of you looking to build a harem or date a few different girls at once, this is the recommended option.
“Break up with her”
This means that you will officially end your relationship with Nicole. You are free to date whoever you like, completely guilt-free!
For those of you looking to potentially have something serious with one (or maybe even more than one) of the girls in the game, this is the recommended option.
NOTE: Not every potential love interest in Sunshine Bay will be looking for love or a serious relationship - in other words, you won’t be able to have a “happily ever after” with every girl.
Some of the girls will be purely interested in something casual, or a “summer fling” if you will.
Choose wisely here folks. Or better yet, make several “game saves” to see what happens after each option from here until the end of the story!

Whenever we get to the last week of working on an update, we always wish we had more time and could’ve added more scenes or given more screen time to certain characters.
We are trying to give a fair balance to all of the girls in the game, as we know that among the 5,000+ fans that we now have, you all have your personal favourites or standouts by now. However, there will be the odd three or four girls that will have more prominent roles than others.
With regards to the changes and options we’ve created for your current relationship with Nicole, we’re trying some new things out for these two new paths that will feature in this new update - being single or being in an open relationship.
We’re confident that these two choices, and the path that you decide to pick from here until the end of the game, will be unlike anything you’ve seen in our previous two VN’s.

About Our "Other game":
Production has already begun on our revision of DMD - Chapter 3, with a release date to be posted up next weekend.
The plan is to have the final version of Chapter 3 released to you, just in time for Christmas.
As mentioned in previous posts, we have numerous extra scenes in mind to be added to the final few days of Chapter 3, and can say quite confidently that this is an update of Dating My Daughter not to be missed!

The last thing any of our team wants is to suffer burnout and we’ve really pushed ourselves to the absolute limit this year.
We’re very relieved to finally take some time away from creating, and to shut our minds down for a few weeks.
Doing this kind of job for a living and being able to make you guys (and girls), our loyal followers happy, means everything to us.
But we also need a break. It’s very much needed, especially after such a tough year, one that has been completely different from any that have come before.
Plans for 2021:
Work will commence on Sunshine Love: Version 5 in late January with a release date to be posted up sometime in February.
The start of DMD - Chapter 4, which will be the final chapter of the game, will be released sometime in early-2021.

It's an updated version of Sunshine Love v0.0.3, as we’ve made quite a number of changes over the past few weeks that will affect the next update (v.0.0.4), which will be released on Saturday, November 28th. You can find it here:

We also wanted to give you a chance to have a play through the last update (or the whole game until this point) as there are some noticeable differences.
Something that was heavily mentioned by our fans and also discussed several times with my team was these two options from v.3 (below):


Going by the feedback that we received from you all, regarding this scene, it’s probably become the most important scene in the game so far.
We’ve heard your concerns, and we’ve made a big change to this scene that you will notice in this update.
IMPORTANT:
In the previous version of the game, you were given two choices: “Don’t agree” or “Accept her decision”. We have removed the “Don’t agree” option (staying in a relationship with Nicole).
The dialogue that features in this scene will be you, the player, automatically agreeing to be in an “Open Relationship” with Nicole (for now).
However, during the new scenes in our next update (v.0.0.4), at some point you will be given two new options where you can either:
“Agree with her” (continue having an Open Relationship) OR you can “Break up” with Nicole.
The chance to officially end your long relationship with Nicole is an option that a lot of our supporters had asked us for, and something that we really should’ve included the first time around.
But as we’ve said several times in previous posts, we’re not perfect and things aren’t always so obvious when we’re writing and creating our scenes. But we hope that these two new options will appease many of our supporters.
When you get to play v.4 in a couple of weeks’ time, there will be a “Notification” screen that will come up for these two new options, with further details for what each of these choices will mean for your character in future updates. So keep an eye out for that notification in the next update!
Other changes that we’ve made:
With the help of one of our most knowledgeable supporters, “NabegoPewu”, there have been plenty of changes and corrections made to the coding in the game.
Another reason why we’ve put this version out two weeks before v.0.0.4 is released is because these changes to the code may break a lot of your previous saves.
So by playing this new version now, you can start making or replacing your old saves, which will have you all set to go for when Version 4 drops!
Any grammar errors that you have previous made aware to us have been corrected now, and we’ve also fixed a number of renders as well.
IMPORTANT: PATCH FILES
Due to these recent changes, those of you who have applied the patch that was made available on the Unofficial Discord Fan channel, will have to replace it with each new version that we release from now on. You can find the latest patch there if you need it.
A points error in the Walkthrough
In the last update during the scene where you are teaching Shortcake how to run the front desk, there are several options that you can choose in this scene.
Almost all of the correct options will give you +2 points for her, except for choosing Driver's License > Ask for a passport.
Instead of us changing this, we’ve decided to keep it the same, so you don’t have to play this scene over again.
Let’s just call it a “glitch” on our part. ;)

About this update
One thing we should address is how we set up each of our updates, in terms of the days and weeks that pass with each release.
It’s pretty similar to what we did for our second game “Melody”. Normally there will be two days in the game, and they will be set during a specific week.
Each day could be either the start, middle, or end of the week. Be sure to keep an eye on your tablet in the top-right hand corner of the screen (see pic below).
This new update is set during Week 2, and the two days are for the start of the week, and the middle of the week (a few days later).
Time skips may become a regular feature across the duration of the game, and we will be sure to let you know more about that with each release.

This update again has some focus on you helping your sis fix and replace things at the hotel to make sure it’s ready when it’s officially re-opened to the public.

There are a number of characters that you will continue to build your work relationship with as well. So make sure to pay attention to the information and tips that they give you.

But this update isn’t just about work. You’re in Sunshine Bay to have fun too!
What kind of fun you might ask?

How does learning how to surf with Cousin sound?

Or being invited to a special evening event in town by The Twins, Ivy and Lily?
What about taking a “special trip” with the adventurous teenager Yuki?

Are you able to resist the “Milfy” Ashley’s charms while you’re desperate to learn the truth about why she and sis moved out nine years ago?
What about a night out with the desirable but mostly “off-limits” Victoria? And will it be a simple evening between future work colleagues, or will either of you consider it to be an actual “date”?

And what about your girlfriend Nicole that you left behind? Do you think you can make your relationship work with her over the summer, despite the long-distance that currently separates you two?

About this update
Unlike the first release, every character (that we shared previews of before the game was released) will feature in SL v2.

That won’t always be the case with every update, but there will be several scenes in the game where you can build your rapport or relationship with each of these girls/women.

This update focuses a lot on learning more about the characters you have already met during the first update, and also being introduced to some new characters for the very first time.

Make sure to pick up relationship points for the girls that you might be interested in romantically, as that will be highly important once you complete the Task List and then move on to the Hotel being at a Two-Star rating.

*There will be more information on that in a future game day post.

We have added 14 new sound effects (50 in total) into this update to hopefully give a bit more of a realistic vibe/feel about them.

There has also been 12 new animations, 25 donut gallery images, and 34 peeping tom gallery images added to this update.

Changes that we’ve made
After the first release, there was always going to be a few things that were going to work well for us and some not so well.

So in other words, it was a typical first release for any developer.

We received a lot of suggestions for what we could do to improve your game-playing experience and we’ve done our best to include some of these changes for you.

Changes and edits:
- Fixed previous grammar errors and bugs, changed some lines from v.1 that were minor plot holes.
- For this update, we have spaced out the locations of the Doughnuts in this release, rather than grouped them all closer together.
This will mean the Doughnut notification sound won’t come up too frequently (unless you’ve switched it OFF of course.)
- We have also put another new option into the menu for when you are searching for the doughnuts.

From this update onward, once you have found a doughnut, you no longer have to find the same one again, and the special render attached to each doughnut will remain in the special gallery. This will be known as the “Doughnut Reappearing” option.

So to have the Doughnuts not appear again once you’ve located them, set this option to “Disabled”.

New Features:
Added a black text box for those who are having a hard time reading some of the dialogue. You can turn it on/off in the settings menu.
Audio Preferences are now in a separate tab, and I’ve also added an option to turn the “Peeping Tom” and “Donut” sounds on and off.
